Central Europe - Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Tokaj Hungary (13 days) July 8-20, 2022 We explore history through the great capitals of Central Europe. Prague and Vienna are romantic time capsules flaunting hundreds of years of art, architecture, and culture in great style. By contrast Berlin and Dresden are less than 75 years old, completely rebuilt symbols of destruction and rebirth. Budapest carries echoes of many eras: the grand remnants of empire, the deprivations under communism after WWII, and growth with increasing prosperity since 1990. Over our two-week visit we will be swept up in the grand, beautiful, and sometimes sad stories of these historic cities, reliving epic dramas that shaped the modern western world. While this begins more as a history trip than a wine trip, we'll visit a historic beer site in Pilsen and famed vineyards in Austria and Hungary, while dining and sipping fabulously all along the way.
Covid-19 note: All participants on Exploring Wine trips in 2021 and 2022 must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in advance of enrollment (including those who may have recovered from the disease). All countries we will visit on our trips are expected to welcome only vaccinated tourists. Click to request more information
