Northern Italy: Tuscany, Piedmont, Venice
(11-days) July 12-22, 2022

From the dreamlike fields of Tuscany to the vine-clad hills of Piedmont, every wine and food enthusiast should enjoy this journey at least once. Along with tasting Italy's best wines of Chianti, Brunello, Bolgheri, Barolo and Barbaresco and meeting top winemakers, we'll tour the active quarry where Michelangelo obtained his marble for the statue of David, absorb breathtaking views cliffside in romantic Cinque Terre, relax for a day on the Italian Riviera, and finish in the endlessly astonishing city of Venice. Barolo and Barbaresco in particular offer magnificent vineyard vistas and accessible traditional wineries, with fewer tourists than much of the rest of Italy. Even if you've "done" Italy before, it's unlikely you've had this compelling and memorable experience of it.

Covid-19 note: All participants on Exploring Wine trips in 2021 and 2022 must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in advance of enrollment (including those who may have recovered from the disease).  All countries we will visit on our trips are expected to welcome only vaccinated tourists.
